Light, multi-purposed, stylish — the iPad was born to travel. Make the most of your tablet (no, not that Tablet) with these add-ons, for all your work and entertainment needs.
Start with Adonit’s Jot (iOS, Android, and Windows compatible), an electronic version of the classic ball-point pen. The stylus (plus its accompanying app, Jot Studio) will transform your tablet into a digital notebook, freeing you to draw and write by sidestepping the awkward keyboard interface. And the latest model of the stylus, the Jot Touch, is due out in March, and accounts for pressure, allowing users to control line density.
Still find yourself longing for that keyboard? Convert your tablet into a netbook with a Zagg Folio (Apple iPad2 compatible), which makes long emails or text documents much easier to bang out when you’re on the road — or in the air. The micro-fiber case adds an extra level of durability to a device known for its delicacy.
And though it doesn’t come out until summer, keep an eye on the horizon for the Zooka. The tube-shaped silicone speaker fits snugly across the length of the tablet and amplifies its sound by at least five times — ideal for presentations and video. Can you imagine a better compliment to the iPad3 (rumored to be released this spring)? Didn’t think so. And while designed specifically for the iPad, the Zooka is also compatible with other Apple devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch and MacBook.
